Jeff’s Project: Writing a Book on the Crisis Stage

April 10, 2010

For the last 2 months I’ve been working on a book called “How to Deal With the Crisis Stage of Sexual Addiction”.

This book idea stems from a recent blog called “The Five Stages of Sexual Addiction”.  I felt like it would be a good idea to do a book about each stage of addiction.  Marsha and I have written a lot of blogs over the last year and a half to give us a good start.  We have also read many great books and had many people in our lives to help us through the Crisis Stage.

It’s a fun project to work on.

I should finish the writing this week, work on the editing with Marsha next week, and send it to a friend is a copywriter to trim up.

WHY A CRISIS BOOK?
1.  Marsha and I wish we had a book like this when our world fell apart

2.  People in crisis don’t know where to turn to.  This book will help.

3.  People in crisis don’t want to sift through 10 different books of 200 pages each.  They need something now!  They need something meaty and to-the-point.

4.  People in crisis think they’re all alone in the struggle.

5.  People in crisis don’t know where to turn to, or what ministries, websites and books are out there.

6.  I want to be able to have a nice, easy resource to put in someone’s hand when they first come into sexual addiction recovery.

WANT A FREE BETA COPY?
I’m going to be giving out 10 – 15 copies of my crisis e-book in a few weeks.  Want one?

1.  Email me at porntopurity@gmail.com to let me know you want one.

2.  I’ll ask that you make suggestions to help me tweek it.

3.  I’ll ask that you write a few sentences of review on the book for my webpage.

Sound good?

I can’t wait to roll this one soon!

    Jeff/Marsha:

Great idea for a book! It is overwhelming when you first start out. You spouse is furious, you are disoriented, you are dying for a fix, you just want to go back in the worst way. I think if people just had a road map to follow about what is normal and some hope that it can get better it would be a godsend.
